Thank you for visiting Indian Minerology (indianminerology.blogspot.com). Mining is a field where accuracy and safety really matter, so we want to be upfront about what this website is and what it is not. Please read this disclaimer carefully. By using the site, you agree to the points below.
1. For education and awareness only
Everything published on this blog, including articles, notes, MCQs, calculations, SOPs and career tips, is meant for general education and awareness. It is written to help students, exam aspirants and mining professionals understand concepts better. It is not a substitute for professional training, formal instruction or the advice of a qualified expert.
2. Not legal or statutory advice
We write about the Mines Act, DGMS rules, the Coal Mines Regulations, circulars and other mining legislation, but this blog is not an official source of law and is not affiliated with DGMS, the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the Ministry of Coal, the Indian Bureau of Mines or any other government body.
Laws, regulations and circulars change, and a summary can never replace the original text. For compliance, inspections or exams, always refer to the official Acts, Rules, Regulations, Gazette notifications and the latest circulars published by the competent authority, for example on the official DGMS website.
3. Safety information and site-specific procedures
Safety is at the heart of what we write, but every mine is different. Geology, equipment, mining method, ventilation and local conditions all vary. Nothing on this blog should be treated as an instruction to carry out any task in a mine.
Always follow your mine's own approved safe operating procedures, risk assessments, statutory provisions and the instructions of your manager, supervisor and safety officer. If a post on this blog seems to conflict with your mine's approved procedure or a statutory requirement, the procedure and the law come first.
4. Calculations and examples
Worked examples, formulas and sample figures in our posts (for production, blasting, ventilation, rock mechanics and so on) are illustrations to explain a method. The numbers used are often simplified or assumed. Do not use them directly for design, planning or operational decisions without checking against actual site data, standard references and the advice of a competent engineer.
5. Exam preparation content
Study notes, MCQs, model answers and mock tests are prepared to help with preparation for exams such as GATE, DGMS competency exams, Mining Sirdar, Overman and others. We do not guarantee any particular result, rank, pass mark or job. Exam patterns, syllabi and rules change, so please confirm details with the official exam notice. Questions marked as previous-year or based on previous papers are for practice, and we are not connected with any examination body.
6. Accuracy of information
We try hard to keep our content accurate and up to date, but we cannot promise that everything is complete, current or free of errors. We are human, and mistakes can slip through. If you spot something wrong, please tell us at indianminerology@gmail.com and we will review and correct it.
7. Career, job and vacancy information
From time to time we share career guidance, interview tips or information about job openings and notifications. This is for general awareness. We are not a recruitment agency, we do not offer jobs, and we do not charge for jobs. Always verify vacancy details, eligibility and application links on the official website of the employer before applying, and be careful about anyone who asks for money in return for a job.
8. External links
Our posts may link to other websites, documents or PDFs, such as government portals and educational resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. A link does not mean that we endorse everything on that site.
9. Advertising and affiliate links
This site may display advertisements through third-party networks such as Google AdSense, and may in future include affiliate links. Advertisements are not an endorsement of the products or services shown, and we are not responsible for the claims made by advertisers. If we ever receive compensation for recommending something, we will say so clearly.
10. Copyright and content use
Unless stated otherwise, the original text on this blog belongs to Indian Minerology. Please do not copy and republish whole articles without permission. You are welcome to share links, or quote a short excerpt with a clear credit and link back to the original post.
Some images, documents or information may belong to their respective owners and are used for educational purposes with credit wherever possible. If you believe something on this site infringes your rights, please email us with the link to the page and a short explanation, and we will look into it promptly.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Indian Minerology, its author and contributors will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or consequence arising from the use of, or reliance on, the information on this website. You use the content at your own risk and responsibility.
12. Changes to this disclaimer

13. Contact us
If you have a question about this disclaimer, you can reach us at indianminerology@gmail.com or through our Contact page. You may also want to read our Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions and About Us page.
In short: learn from this blog, but verify the law at the official source, follow your mine's approved procedures, and never take a risk based on something you read online.
