1.Before starting the operator should check for any tags like “B/D”, “Out of order” or “Under repair”. If any such tag is visible, the operator should not start.
2.Before operating the operator should personally test:
- Brake, horn and AVA (Audio visual alarm) are working properly.
- Head light, back light and dashboard lights are working properly.
- Machine is mechanically sound and in efficient working order.
- Fire extinguisher is available.
3. Dozer should be duly operated by authorized dozer operator.
4. Glass of dozer operator cabin should be kept properly clean for good visibility.
5. Operator should personally check the area around dozer before starting operation.
6. Operator shall not allow any person to ride on dozer during operation.
7. The operator should operate only on stable ground.
8. The dozer should not operate on steep slopes or unstable ground.
9. In OB dump yard the dozer should always maintain adequate berm height and width.
10. While dumping, the dozer should operate from the visible side of dumper/tipper.
11. Operator should be careful while climbing and alighting.
12. Operator should not leave cabin unnecessarily.
13. Dozer should follow supervisor instructions.
14. Dozer should not go near overhead power lines.
15. Operator should stop machine if abnormal sound or leakage occurs.
16. Before stopping, park in designated area and rest blade on ground.
