SOP for Tipper Operations.

SOP for Tipper Operations.

1. Before starting the tipper the operator should check for any tags of “B/D” “Out of order” or “Under repair”. If any such tag is visible, the tipper shall not be started.

2. Before driving the tipper, the driver should personally come up to speed and test the following details:-

a. Brake horn and AVA are in proper working order.

b. Head light, back light and dash board lights are in working order.

c. The machine is mechanically sound and in efficient working order.

d. Fire extinguisher is available.

3. Only authorized driver shall drive the tipper.

4. While driving the tipper in slope the driver shall drive the vehicle in lower gear.

5. The driver of the tipper shall keep his tipper in front of the loader in such a manner that the operator of the tipper and the loader are visible to each other.

6. The driver of the tipper shall not leave his vehicle in front and shall remain inside his tipper while moving.

 7. Only two tippers for one larder will remain on the main face, other tippers will stand in queue outside the face.

8. Tipper driver must follow the instructions of the Chief Supervisor.

9. No unauthorised person will be allowed to ride on the tipper.

10. Tipper with automatic opening and closing arrangement should be operated in the mines.

11. Driver must strictly follow traffic rules.

12. Driver must use safety helmet and shoes during duty.

13. There should be a minimum distance of 5 meters between two tippers while standing in queue.

14. Driver of tipper will use dipper at night.

15. There should be a minimum distance of 30 meters between two tippers while moving on haul road.

16. Driver of tipper will follow all rules and regulations applicable in the mine.
