AI and Machine Learning in the mobile mining industry

Image
AI and Machine Learning in the mobile mining industry advantages and potential implications for mining’s future. The mining sector has a history of being associated with negative environmental impact and safety concerns. In recent years however, the industry has experienced a significant shift, largely driven by technology that has the potential to address many of its most pressing challenges. With the adoption of artificial intelligence, sophisticated machine learning algorithms, and data analysis approaches, the industry is making strides towards becoming safer and more sustainable.   Drones, sensors, and autonomous vehicles driven by AI are now capable of carrying out risky operations that formerly required workers to be present in remote locations. By gathering and analysing large amounts of data quickly and effectively, AI can help reduce the impact of mining operations on the environment. With the use of real-time data, analytics and predictive maintenance solutions, mi...

This massive Vehicle is 20.6m long, 8.17m high, and 9.75m wide . The truck has four-wheel drive and four-wheel hydraul...

Mining Engineering & Mineral Exploration Economics

Image
Mining Engineering & Mineral Exploration Economics Mining Engineering is a lot about applying the knowledge of applied science and Engineering Mechanics to the successful extraction of useful geological resources. So in this first module we will overview the mining process in its entirety and identify those aspects which are the realm of the mining engineering. Then in the next three modules we will look at the specifics of mining engineering in greater detail. We will devote this first topic to identifying the steps in the mining process, and to introducing the terminology that used in the mining industry and that will be used throughout this course. The mining process begins with finding a new mineral deposit and it ends when the mine is abandoned after it has been rehabilitated. Basic steps in the mining process are: Mineral exploration to find a new deposit. Economic Assessment of the deposit to a prices viability mine design which we’ve a safe, stable and financially via...

SHAFT SINKING IN MINING METHODS AND FACTORS AFFECTING

Image
SHAFT SINKING Shaft sinking in mining is the process of developing a vertical or near vertical big hole (Shaft) for any purpose, where there is no initial access to that part. It is very dangerous, hard and time taking process.   Mining, the age-old practice of extracting valuable resources from the Earth’s crust, has evolved over centuries into a sophisticated and technologically advanced industry. One of the most crucial processes in underground mining is shaft sinking. This intricate and challenging endeavor involves creating vertical tunnels that provide access to deeper layers of the Earth, facilitating the extraction of minerals, ores, and other precious substances. In this blog post, we’ll delve into the fascinating world of shaft sinking, exploring its methods, challenges, and significance in modern mining operations.   Shaft can be used for many purposes. The main uses include:   For mining purpose For the underground temporary storage For the found...
